We are an authentic, relevant, Bible-based church that welcomes everyone and desires to grow and serve together.
Our Story
In 2014 we started out with a small group of believers hungry for Jesus and the Word of God with a passion to spread the gospel. We are now a small church with a mission to do the work of Jesus and make disciples. Psalm 40:2 "He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along."
Casual Atmosphere
We want you to be comfortable when you visit Solid Ground. You can come dressed up or dressed down – whatever is the most comfortable for you and your family. We’re more concerned about your walk with God.
Dynamic Teaching
Our goal for each service is that it be fun, creative, and relevant to your life. Our services begin with worship and are followed by a powerful message from our Pastor John Spann. Each service allows you to encounter God and equips you for the week ahead.
Family-Minded
We believe in a strong family unit. We offer a wonderful and age-appropriate experience for your kids each week – they’ll be begging to come back each week! Your children will have fun and learn about Jesus.

Meet our Pastor
John and his wife Jackie Spann are the founders of Solid Ground Worship Center. They have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. Pastor John attended In-Christ International Bible College for 4 years and received a degree in Bible Studies. He preaches at churches locally and throughout the state as well as preaching in prisons. They have a heart for the lost and for the city of Ball.
